The most suitable file types are SVG, AI or EPS . If you do not have any of these files, we can also work with a PNG file with a resolution of 1200 DPI. We will send you a digital proof of the design within 1-2 working days. We will take your preferences regarding the size of the stamp into account.

After reviewing the proof, you can still request changes. Are you completely satisfied? Then you can order the stamp!

submission guidelines

We want to engrave your design as beautifully as possible in a wax stamp. We need to take a number of steps to achieve this. Below are some examples of what we need to do to prepare a logo for engraving. Please take this into account when sending your logo. Of course, we will work with you on your design.

Some specifications that apply to all file types:

Less is more - It's a cliché, but it's true. 😉We often see that a logo works better as a stamp than a whole text. Letters quickly become too small and therefore illegible.
Submit your design as a black and white image.
We cannot process overlapping colours directly and must adjust them.

Example 1

We cannot engrave a logo with multiple colours mixed together. To solve this, we can finish it as lines, or colour in some parts. See below.

Example 2

Text and shapes cannot overlap and must be converted to lines so that the text remains visible.

Example 3

Texts that overlap are difficult to read when engraved. In this case, we can either make the text completely black or outline it. A third, more expensive option is to engrave the letters at the back less deeply.

Example 4

We are unable to process logos containing JPEG or PNG files. Think of a watercolour image in your logo. Only the text can then be engraved.

To create a good proof and a beautiful stamp, we have drawn up a few submission guidelines. If you are unable to do this, please ask for help; we are here to assist you.

We prefer to receive your design as an AI / SVG / EPS file.

If you work in Adobe Illustrator, please keep the following in mind:

Vectorised illustration (no pixels)
Illustration in one colour, preferably black Do not use shadows or colour gradients
Finish text as letter outlines (cmd/ctrl+Shift+O)
Text minimum 6pt
Minimum line thickness of 0.5pt
Leave at least 2mm free from the edge
(through the edge is possible in consultation)

Important to remember:

Everything that is black will be engraved. This will stand out on yor seal.
We always mirror your file before engraving. So submit your design as you want it to appear on the seal. Do not mirror your design.
Placing a JPEG/PNG in an Adobe Illustrator file is not desirable. If you only have a JPEG/PNG, see above for how to submit it.

When working in Adobe Photoshop, you should pay attention to the following things:

Ensure your work area is large enough, at least 1000 x 1000 px.
Check that your resolution is high enough, at least 300 dpi.
Create your design on a white background.
Preferably, make your entire design black.
Ensure that the text is not too small.
Do not use shadows or colour gradients.

Important to remember:

Everything that is black will be engraved. This will stand out on your wax seal.
We always mirror your file before engraving. So please submit your design as you want it to appear on the seal. Do not mirror your design.

What should you pay attention to?

Create your design on a white background.
Preferably, make your entire design black.
Text must be at least 6pt.
Do not use shadows or colour gradients.

Below you will find step-by-step instructions on how to submit your design to us:

Step 1:

In your design file, click on 'Share'. This will open a new window.

Step 2:

In the window that opens, click on download.

Step 3:

Click on file type and select "PDF - Standard".

Ensure that "Flatten PDF" and "Use notes" are unchecked.

You can then download the file.

Step 4:

After downloading, click on "Share" again.

Here, change the collaboration link from "Only you have access" to "Anyone with the link".

Access can remain as "Can view".

Then click on "Copy link".

Email the PDF and the link to the project to custom@jessyatsea.com or via the button below.

Would you like to draw a design? That's no problem at all.

What should you pay attention to when drawing?

Draw on white paper, without lines.
Preferably use a black marker or pen for high contrast.
Ensure your lines are clear and well defined. Blurred or smudged lines can be more difficult to trace.
Remove unnecessary sketch lines and noise before digitising.

How do you submit the drawing?

If possible, use a scanner instead of a camera.
Avoid shadows and uneven lighting when using a camera; for example, take a photo with flash.

Please let us know if you would like your design to be as sleek as possible or if you would prefer to retain the rough, hand-drawn style.

What sizes of personalised wax stamps can I order?

Our stamps are available in round, square and oval shapes, ranging in size from 15 to 50 millimetres. If you are looking for a specific shape that does not fall within these categories, please feel free to contact us. We are always happy to help you find the perfect size and shape for your unique wax stamp.
