#2 - How do I pour the perfect wax seal?
Hi there!
Here we are again with a new batch of wax seal tips and stamping tricks. 🎩 Today, I'll tell you more about different pouring methods, because believe me, the way you pour has a big impact on your final seal. Don't worry, there's no “right” or “wrong”, it's all about your personal stamping style. And there's no accounting for taste, right? 😁

🥄Holding the spoon steadyThe most common way to make a seal is to pour the wax while holding the spoon steady. This is my preferred method, and I recommend it to people who take my workshops. Doing it this way allows the wax to spread out nicely and creates a beautiful circle. It also ensures that your seal is evenly coloured and free of strange spots. |
🌀 Pouring in a circleAnother way is to pour the wax in a circle. This creates a swirl pattern in your seal. This is a matter of taste, and the swirl is particularly visible with metallic colours. |

💧 The last dropsYou often want to get the last drops out of your spoon so that you have enough wax for your seal. However, these drops can significantly change the appearance of your seal. When you have poured part of the wax and then let the last drops fall onto the hot wax, you will get small curves in your seal. We always let the last wax from the spoon fall onto the wax mat next to the seal, so that you can use it again next time.
